IMD forecasts heavy rain in sub-himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim

New Delhi, Mar 26, 2026 : The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim until tomorrow. The weather agency has predicted thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds over Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir for the next three days.

Similar conditions are expected over Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Interior Karnataka, Telangana, Vidarbha, West Bengal, Sikkim and West Rajasthan. The Met Department has further predicted thunderstorms and lightning over Coastal Karnataka, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and the Northeastern states till the 28th of this month. Meanwhile, hot and humid weather conditions will prevail over Kerala, Mahe, Konkan and Goa today.
