‘DEVOTION TO MAA AMBE BRINGS PEACE AND ENERGY’: PM

New Delhi, Mar 20, 2026 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday highlighted the spiritual significance of Navratri, stating that the atmosphere of devotion to Maa Ambe fills people’s minds with a deep sense of peace and positive energy.

On the second day of Chaitra Navratri, the Prime Minister took to X and said, “The atmosphere, saturated with devotion to Mother Ambe during Navratri, fills the mind with boundless peace and energy. The resonance of faith and devotion dedicated to the Mata makes the heart pulsate.”

Along with his message, he shared a devotional aarti sung by Anuradha Paudwal, titled Aarti Ambe Tu Hai Jagdambe Kali. The video reflects the deep-rooted traditions and reverence associated with the festival.

The Prime Minister also shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam, offering prayers to Goddess Brahmacharini. “Millions of obeisance at the feet of Mother Brahmacharini! May the Goddess continue to shower her grace upon all devotees. Holding a rosary and a water pot in her hands, may the supreme Brahmacharini be pleased with me,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh cheif minister Yogi Adityanath also shared a post on X. He prayed for the blessings of Goddess Brahmacharini, seeking courage, restraint, and well-being for all. He described the day as an occasion to invoke the grace of the Goddess for the welfare of the entire creation.

The second day of Navratri is dedicated to Goddess Brahmacharini, one of the nine forms of Durga. Devotees observe fasts and offer prayers with sincerity, seeking blessings for strength, wisdom, and inner peace.

Goddess Brahmacharini, also known as Tapasvini and Yogini, symbolises penance and devotion. She is depicted in a simple white attire, holding a rosary and a kamandal (water pot), representing discipline, determination, and spiritual pursuit.

Devotees believe that worshipping her helps in attaining knowledge, emotional balance, and courage. She is also spiritually associated with the Swadhishthana (sacral) chakra and is linked to the planet Mars.

The colour green is considered auspicious on this day, symbolising growth, harmony, and new beginnings. Devotees often wear green attire while performing rituals, as it is believed to promote emotional stability and peace.
