India beat England by 7 runs, enter ICC men’s T20 cricket World Cup Final

New Delhi, Mar 06, 2026 : In the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup, India stormed into the final, defeating England by 7 runs in the second Semi-final at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai last night. Chasing a target of 254, England scored 246 for 7 in the stipulated 20 overs. Earlier, put into bat, India piled up a mammoth 253 for 7 in 20 overs. Sanju Samson made a dazzling 89 off 42 while Shivam Dubey contributed 43 runs for the hosts. Jacob Bethell made a brilliant 105 off 48 balls for England. Sanju Samson was adjudged player of the match. India will face New Zealand in the finals on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Home Minister Amit Shah has congratulated the Indian men’s cricket team for entering the final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Cricket. In a social media post, Mr. Shah described the team’s semi-final victory over England as resounding. He said the tenacity and hard work displayed by the team were truly remarkable. He also extended his best wishes to the team for the upcoming final.
