UNION MINISTER SCINDIA TO VISIT TRIPURA, ASSAM

New Delhi, Jan 23, 2026 : Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region, Jyotiraditya Scindia, will embark on a three-day visit to Tripura and Assam from January 23 to 25.

The visit will include key project inaugurations, foundation-laying ceremonies, and field engagements across the two states.

On January 23, the Union Minister will arrive in Agartala and participate in the inauguration and foundation-laying of various MDoNER development projects at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan, Indranagar.

He will also visit the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Wing at Agartala Government Medical College and the Agartala Government Dental College, followed by darshan at the Tripurasundari Shaktipeeth (Matabari Temple).

On January 24, Scindia will travel to Kadamtala in North Tripura district to inaugurate Agarwood projects worth Rs 78.53 crore. He will also visit the Unakoti Heritage Site.

On January 25, the Union Minister will launch the Matabari Tourism Circuit project worth Rs 276.78 crore at Dumbur.

Later, he will proceed to Guwahati, Assam, where he will participate in the foundation-laying and launch of bamboo projects, and attend the Pratidin Achiever Awards 2026 at Gauhati University, before returning to New Delhi.
