Election Commission announces awards for BLOs in West Bengal

New Delhi, Dec 29, 2025 : In a significant move to recognise grassroots efforts, the Election Commission of India ECI has announced awards for Booth Level Officers BLOs for their outstanding contributions to the Special Intensive Revision SIR process in West Bengal.

Chief Electoral Officer West Bengal Manoj Kumar Agarwal stated that every BLO will receive a certificate of appreciation from the Election Commission in recognition of their work. Necessary instructions have already been issued to Electoral Registration Officers EROs in this regard. On the occasion of the National Voters’ Day celebrations on January 25, BLOs will be awarded the recognition.
