New Delhi, Dec 24, 2025 : India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast dense to very dense fog at isolated places over Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh today. The Met Department also predicted dense fog conditions over Northeast India, including Odisha, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Uttarakhand. Similar conditions are expected to prevail over Himachal Pradesh, Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Jharkhand, and Madhya Pradesh. The IMD also forecast cold day conditions in Bihar.

Meanwhile, the air quality in Delhi-NCR has been registered in the very poor category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the average Air Quality Index (AQI) of the National Capital was recorded at 355 as of 7 this morning.
