Election Commission announces by-elections for eight assembly seats

New Delhi, Oct 13, 2025 : The Election Commission today issued a notification for the by-election for eight assembly seats in seven states. These assembly constituency are Budgam and Nagrota in Jammu and Kashmir, Anta in Rajasthan, Ghatsila in Jharkhand, Jubilee Hills in Telangana, Tarn Taran in Punjab, Dampa in Mizoram and Nuapada in Odisha. The last date for filing nominations for Jammu and Kashmir and Odisha is 20th of this month and for Jharkhand, Mizoram Punjab, Telangana and Rajasthan is 21st of this month. The By-election for these assembly seats will be held on 11th November and counting of votes will take place on 14th November.
