National Youth Award 2024

New Delhi, Aug 25, 2025 : The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has now extended the last date for nominations for the National Youth Awards (NYA) 2024 to 30 September 2025. The award is given to honour youth and organisations in the age group of 15 to 29 years for their outstanding contribution to national development and social service.

The award is given in both individual and organisational categories. A maximum of 20 awards are given in the individual category and 5 awards in the organisational category, although the authorities may change this number under special circumstances. The winners will be awarded a medal, certificate and cash prize of Rs 1 lakh in the individual category and a medal, certificate and cash prize of Rs 3 lakh in the organisational category.

The nomination process for the participants is completely online. Interested applicants can apply by visiting the awards.gov.in portal. Detailed guidelines and eligibility criteria are available on the portal. The ministry has invited applications from individuals and organizations who have done remarkable work in areas such as health, research and innovation, culture, human rights, art and literature, tourism, traditional medicine, active citizenship, community service, sports, academic excellence and smart learning.

The objective of the National Youth Award is to encourage the spirit of leadership, responsibility and social service among the youth and inspire them to play an active role in society and nation building.
