Nation gears up to celebrate of 79th I’Day
New Delhi, Aug 13, 2025 : The nation is gearing up to celebrate the country’s 79th Independence Day on 15th August with full enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. In the run-up to Independence Day celebrations, people across the country are actively participating in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah today hoisted the national flag at his residence as part of this campaign. Delhi Minister Ashish Sood and BJP MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat led the Tiranga Yatra in the South-West district of Delhi, in which more than eight thousand people participated.
To ensure foolproof security on Independence Day, Delhi Police has made elaborate security arrangements. Thousands of security personnel, including paramilitary forces and commandos, have been deployed to ensure safety and maintain law and order.
The Delhi Metro will commence its services at 4:00 AM on all its Lines to facilitate the general public to attend the Independence Day ceremony.
On 15th August, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the nation in celebrating Independence Day from the historic Red Fort in Delhi. He will unfurl the National Flag and address the nation from the ramparts of the iconic monument.
