President express grief over demise of former Jharkhand CM

New Delhi, Aug 04, 2025 : President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and other dignitaries have expressed grief over the demise of former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Shibu Soren. In a social media post, President Murmu said that Mr Soren’s demise is a big loss in the space of social justice. She highlighted that he championed the cause of tribal identity and formation of the state of Jharkhand. The President noted that his emphasis on the welfare of the people, especially the tribal communities, will always be remembered.
