Mayor Dipak Majumder donates Rs 50 thousand from own source to man affected by fire accident in his constituency

The outgoing Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Dipak Majumder has shown his generosity in helping out people in moments of crisis. This came to light today in the morning as he rushed to the dilapidated thatched house of late Debal Paul in Piyari Master garden area . Sources said that Nirmala Deb (Paul), widowed wife of late Debal Paul used to live alone in the house but in her absence from the house last night a fire accident occurred and her entire house was gutted to ashes. After receiving information of the mishap , hapless Nirmala Deb (Paul) rushed back home and broke down wailing aloud.

After receiving information about the misshap the AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder rushed to the spot and consoled Nirmala Deb (Paul) and immediately handed over to her Rs 50 thousand in cash that he had carried along to begin reconstruction of her house. Dipak Majumder also arranged for an official grant of Rs 10 thousand to the widowed lady for help in the costly construction work, promising to help her more at need. The local people who were present on the spot appreciated the gesture of the AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder.
