Bijay Hrangkhawal seriously ill , admitted to ILS hospital

Veteran tribal leader and former three-time MLA Bijay Kumar Hrangkhawal who is in his mid-eighties is seriously ill . He was admitted to privately run ILS hospital yesterday with serious old age ailments and is under intensive treatment. He is now the president of the regional ‘Tipra Motha’ party.

This morning senior ‘Tipra Motha’ leader and incumbent minister for forest and science and technology Animesh Debbarma visited the ILS hospital to inquire about the party veteran’s health and well being and the kind of treatment he is being given by doctors there. Animesh shared a post of his visit to the ILS hospital to see Bijay Hrangkhawal in a post in the social media giant ‘Facebook’ .

Sources in the ILS hospital said that Hrangkhawal is currently having minor health issues mainly on account of his old age but he will come round soon and be able to leave the hospital at an early date. Bijay Kumar Hrangkhawal was an elected member of the state assembly from erstwhile Kulai (ST) constituency from 1998 to 2013 but could not get reelected since then.
