The Cockroaches have finally arrived in Tripura. The rag-tag party of activists comprising shady elements from home and abroad that created ripples in national politics through it its protest movement against leakage of question papers of centrally held exams and secured the resignation of the then union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan has now gained in strength by leaning on the corrupt shoulders of AAP and Congress as also by enlisting support from the opportunistic and anti-national ‘Dimagi Naxals’. They are now trying to spread wings in national politics by setting up units in states like a political party with the sole purpose of fighting the BJP and its plethora of frontal organisations by taking off their non-political masks.

Keeping the larger political goal in view a two northeast leaders of BJP which now offer an attractive platform to the sundry Jihadists, Khalistanis, urban Naxals and all dubious elements arrived at Agartala and interacted with the media in Agartala Press Club. The press conference was addressed by the so-called CJP leader Md Shahid and Manipuri fellow-traveller Md Noor Shah. Three local CJP enthusiasts , Shubham Das, Pranab Sengupta and Aprajit Mullick were also there in the press meet to play second fiddle.

Speaking to media persons Md Shahid and Md Noor Shah of Manipur said that they are conducting discussion with the youth elements and volunteers in various states of northeast for setting up units though the CJP is yet to be registered with the election commission as a part. “We have already held discussion with the leading youths and volunteers of Tripura on the issue of articulating the demands of students and their needs” said Md Shahid and Md Noor Shah. They asserted that there are multiple problems confronting the students of Tripura in the matter of education and employment. There are also health problems.

“We have no relation with any political party but we demand that whoever may be in power must abide by the constitutional mandate and must be accountable to the people ; the party’s structure will be finalized on the basis of internal elections and leaders will have mandate of the party members” said Md Shahid and Md Noor Shah. This position was seconded by Tripura leader Shubham DaS. All of them alleged that since the year 2014-when the BJP had come to central power with a clear majority-democracy in the country has been weakened by horse trading and politically induced change of parties. However, one saving grace was that the CJP duo swore by the constitution and asserted that the supremacy of rule of law and constitution must be abided by all in politics.
