Padma Shri awardee Nivedita Raghunath Bhide, President of Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, will visit Tripura on November 2 to interact with well-wishers and Karyakartas at a special programme titled ‘Vimarsh’, organised by Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Agartala Branch.
The programme will centre on the theme “Vivekananda Kendra – Need of the Hour”, highlighting the relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy, values and ideals in contemporary society. The organisers expect the interaction to provide an opportunity to reflect on the role of Vivekananda Kendra in promoting character-building, national consciousness, service to society and the development of individuals through the teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
According to the invitation issued by Justice ( Retd) SC Das, Sanchalak, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Agartala Branch, the programme will be held on Monday, November 2, at 6:00 PM at Matangini Pritilata Auditorium in Agartala. Nivedita Raghunath Bhide will be the chief speaker at the event.
Bhide, who received the Padma Shri in recognition of her contributions to society, serves as the President of both Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari. Her visit is expected to draw members of the organisation, its well-wishers and people interested in the philosophy of Swami Vivekananda and the role of service-oriented organisations in nation-building.
Vivekananda Kendra, inspired by the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, works to promote service, education, cultural awareness and the development of human values. The proposed discussion will seek to examine why these ideals remain relevant at a time when society faces changing social, cultural and educational challenges.
The ‘Vimarsh’ programme is intended to go beyond a formal address by encouraging reflection on the responsibilities of individuals and organisations in strengthening society. The theme places particular emphasis on the importance of character, discipline, selfless service and a sense of responsibility towards the nation.
Justice SC Das, Sanchalak of Vivekananda Kendra, Tripura, has extended a cordial invitation to well-wishers and members of the public to attend the programme with their families and friends. The organisers have requested attendees to take their seats at least ten minutes before the scheduled start.
The visit of the senior Vivekananda Kendra leader is expected to provide an opportunity for participants in Tripura to engage with the organisation’s vision and discuss how the teachings of Swami Vivekananda can be applied in everyday life and public service.
