Hindu hounding continues unabated in Bangladesh, Hindu headmaster of primary school beaten to death, blasphemy law weaponised

Islamic Bangladesh’s reversion to the stark medieval age of the 7th century Arabia seems to be gaining in momentum , as evident from the plight of the minority Hindus reduced to ‘Dhimmis’ (protected guests in lieu of a poll tax) . The shine and glitter of the four-day ‘Durga Puja’ festival provided a short-lived breather for the Hindu community but now things are back to square one.

In the latest outrage committed on the Hindus, an innocent headmaster of a government run primary school in Chibirbandar area under Dinajpur district was beaten to death in front of the school and his students by a gang of Muslim thugs aligned with the ruling BNP. Sources from Bangladesh said that the headmaster Manoranjan Roy (44) had antagonised the local Muslim mafia elements by refusing to buckle under their pressure for granting out of turn construction contract in violation of the rules of the government. He had cogent reasons to do so, as in case he issued the work order, he would have faced punitive action from his higher authority. But this proved provocative enough to impel the killer gang to gather in front of the school yesterday in the morning and beat Manoranjan Roy to pulp in front of a large gathering of his students and a number of guardians. He was taken to Dinajpur hospital to be declared dead. The slain ManoranjanRoy , the head master , is survived by his hapless wife and two children and despite the filing of a complaint by his wife the Dinajpur police station is yet to take any action in the matter.

Meanwhile, three Hindu households in the Pirganj area under Sunamganj district of northern Bangladesh were totally vandalised by an unruly Muslim mob on Sunday morning last on charge of blasphemy. Sources said that MantuDas , member of one of the three families, had been falsely charged with blasphemy for a comment on social media giant ‘Facebook’ which he had never made. But the Muslim miscreant who had managed to sneak into his ID through online trickstery had posted the comment only to victimise the families to grab their land and this is exactly what happened on last Sunday morning. The affected Hindu families are now down and out on the streets. Sources said that the Bangladesh had been constitutionally notified as having Islam as state religion and in the year 1988 but the so-called medieval blasphemy law had been made more stringent in 2004. Since then large number of innocent Hindus have been killed, displaced or imprisoned as the blasphemy law has been weaponised to target the Hindu and other non-Muslim minorities in the Bangladeshi hell-scape.
