A temple dedicated to Mahadev, Hanuman and ShaniDev was inaugurated at NabaPalli in Krishnanagar, near Durga Chowmuhani in Agartala, fulfilling a long-standing demand of locals.

The temple has been established in front of the Agartala Municipal Corporation’s (AMC) ward 18 office. West Tripura District Magistrate Dr Vishal Kumar and local corporatorAbhishekDutta inaugurated the temple.

The initiative was taken by Dutta following a long-standing demand from local residents for a permanent place of worship in the area. The temple is expected to serve as a place for religious activities and community gatherings.

According to the information provided, the temple was established under the initiative of ward 18, with the objective of meeting the local community’s demand for a dedicated religious space. Its location in front of the ward office is expected to make it accessible to people in the neighbourhood.

The temple houses three deities - Mahadev, Hanuman and ShaniDev - who hold significance in Hindu religious beliefs. Mahadev is worshipped as a symbol of spiritual power and well-being, while Hanuman is associated with devotion, courage and strength. ShaniDev is regarded as the deity associated with justice and the consequences of one’s actions.

The establishment of the temple is expected to provide a common venue for worship and religious observances. Local residents will be able to gather there during festivals, pujas and other religious occasions.

The project also seeks to provide a space where members of the neighbourhood can come together for religious and community activities. Such gatherings are expected to facilitate social interaction among local residents.
