Ramprasad Pal Launches Durga Puja Gift Distribution, 21,000 Women to Receive Jamdani Sarees in Suryamaninagar

Ramprasad Pal, MLA from the Suryamaninagar Assembly constituency and Deputy Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly, has launched a special Durga Puja gift distribution initiative under which approximately 21,000 women across his constituency will receive Jamdani handloom sarees as a gesture of festive goodwill.
As part of the initiative, Pal personally distributed Jamdani sarees to women in Booth number 15, 16 and 17 under the Suryamaninagar Assembly constituency, handing over the gifts as a token of love and appreciation on the occasion of Sharadiya Durga Puja.
The distribution programme began on October 9, and Pal has been visiting different polling booths across his constituency to personally present the festive gifts to women. The initiative aims to reach women from approximately 21,000 families, bringing the spirit of the festive season to households throughout the constituency.
According to Pal, the initiative reflects his respect for women and recognition of their contributions to families, society and community development. He emphasised that women are a fundamental source of strength for society and said that honouring their dignity, supporting their self-reliance and acknowledging their important role in social progress were the key motivations behind the programme.
The distribution of Jamdani sarees is being organised as a special Durga Puja gesture, intended to convey warmth, affection and solidarity with women across the constituency. The programme is being carried out through booth-level visits, allowing the MLA to meet beneficiaries personally and extend his festive greetings.
Pal expressed his commitment to ensuring that the Sharadiya gift reaches women across the constituency, reiterating the target of covering approximately 21,000 families through the initiative.
The programme also carries a message of respect for women and the importance of strengthening social harmony.
