The silent killing of Hindu men and women by the communalised Muslims in Bangladesh continue to psychologically pulverise the country’s hell-scape. In the latest such killing the dead body of a Hindu Prashanta Roy (17) was recovered by police from a paddy field in Birganj sub-district in Dinajpur district yesterday. He had gone missing since last Tuesday and was believed to have been abducted by a Muslim crimilnal gang . Sources from Bangladesh said that Prashanta Roy , son of Ramesh Chandra Roy of Mahanpur Senpara village of Dinajpur district, had gone missing since last Tuesday night and was believed to have been abducted by a Muslim criminal gang . His family did not receive any ransom notice and filed a complaint of disappearance with the Birganj sub-district police station. But yesterday a group of morning walkers came across a dead body lying on a paddy field near Birganj and informed the police station. After the police recovered the dead body and took it to Birganj hospital for post-mortem it was identified as that of missing Prashanta Roy . His parents reached the hospital after being informed and broke down wailing in the morgue at the sight of the body of their son.

Meanwhile on last Monday a Hindu staff nurse Tanmanya Mandal’s (36) blood stained hanging dead body was recovered from within the toilet of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). Sources said that Tanmaya , a senior staff nurse of Shahbag Birden General Hospital had been transferred to DMCH about a month back. But her dead body was discovered from a toilet of the hospital in hanging and bloodied condition. She is believed to have been murdered as the personnel of the Dhaka Shahbag police station later recovered a blood stained knife used for cutting fruits and saw stains of blood near the gateway to the conference room of the hospital near the administrative building. The officer in charge of Shahbag police station Md Manirojjaman said that investigation in the case is on and the culprit will be arrested soon . The twin incidents of murdered have further deepened the fear psychosis among the minority Hindus who continue to be targets for selective killing by communally motivated killing under the current BNP regime as under the interim government of Md Yunus earlier.
