Tripura took a significant step towards strengthening homoeopathic medical education and healthcare services with the inauguration of the Government Homoeopathy Medical College and Netaji Subhash Homoeopathic Hospital at Renters Colony in Agartala.

Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the new institution on Wednesday, marking an important development in the state’s healthcare and medical education landscape. The Chief Minister later shared details of the inauguration through a post on his official Facebook page.

According to the Chief Minister, the establishment of the medical college and hospital is aimed at expanding the scope of homoeopathic medical education while strengthening the availability of homoeopathic healthcare services in Tripura.

Dr. Saha said that faith in homoeopathic medicine is growing rapidly and expressed confidence that the new institution would make a meaningful contribution to the development of homoeopathy in the state. The institution is expected to provide opportunities for students to pursue formal medical education in homoeopathy within the state while also strengthening healthcare delivery.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the employment potential associated with the new institution. Besides creating opportunities in medical education and healthcare, the establishment of the college and hospital is expected to generate new employment opportunities in various areas connected with medical services, administration and allied healthcare activities.

The Netaji Subhash Homoeopathic Hospital will further add to the healthcare infrastructure available to residents of Agartala and surrounding areas, while the medical college is expected to contribute to the development of trained homoeopathic medical professionals.

The inauguration comes as the state government continues to focus on expanding healthcare infrastructure and increasing access to different systems of medical treatment. The new institution is expected to serve both as an educational centre and a healthcare facility, linking medical education with patient services.

With the launch of the Government Homoeopathy Medical College and Netaji Subhash Homoeopathic Hospital, Tripura has added another institution to its medical education and healthcare network, creating new avenues for students, healthcare professionals and patients across the state.
