The lawlessness that ravaged Bangladeshi hell-scape during the one and half year misruled of the illegitimate interim government headed by Md Yunsu has returned in full form to haunt the people of the country , specially the minority Hindus under the current BNP dispensation. According to the latest instance of all round anarchy under the BNP’s misrule a lady don Firdaus Ahmed Mishti , a nominated woman of the BNP supposedly close to the prime minister Tarique Rahaman, has lately demolished a hospital for poor children and mothers and forcibly occupied 8640 square feet of land over which it was spread.

Sources from Bangladesh said that in the year 1974 a Swedish aid agency named ‘Save the Children’ had financed the establishment and launching of the childrens hospital under the banner of ‘Radda MCH-FP Centre’ in Meerpur area of Dhaka for the benefit of children and maternity patients from poor families. This hospital was doing well in rendering service to poor mothers and children but Firdaus Ahmed Mishti had her eyes set on the hospital land for occupying it and her endeavour got a fillip after she was nominated as a woman MP of BNP in the National Assembly early this year . Early this week Firdaus Ahmed Mishti got the hospital demolished after driving out the patients and then forcibly occupied the land of the hospital. Despite knowing every thing the governmental authority in Bangladesh has turned a blind eye to this.

Sources said that in her personal life Firdaus Ahmed Mishti is the younger sister of late BNP leader and mafia don Nasirudding Ahmed Pintu and after her elder brother’s death she started controlling the mafia elements of Meerpur area. She had been married to Sydur Rahaman Newton , a mafia don, who had been gunned down by a rival gang of mafia elements. Sydur Rahaman at one stage had been a councillor of Dhaka Municipal Corporation but after his murder his wife Firdaus Ahmed Mishti became the councillor and started controlling the mafia elements of Meerpur. But her proximity to the ruling BNP and its top leaders has now come handy for her to carry on her illegal activities including the forcible occupation of the hospital land after demolition.
