Holy Cross College Hosts Management Conclave 3.0, Bringing RBI Officials, Bankers, Entrepreneurs and Industry Experts Together

The Department of Business Administration of Holy Cross College, Agartala, successfully concluded the third edition of its Management Conclave 3.0, a two-day programme held on September 29 and 30 that brought together experts from academia, banking, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), entrepreneurship, fashion and the film industry.

Organised in association with Longtharai Agartala (Annada Spices Industry), Agartala Pet World & Vet Clinic and South Indian Bank, Agartala, the conclave aimed to provide students with practical exposure to management, banking, entrepreneurship and creative industries beyond the classroom.

The programme began with a welcome address by Dr. Fr. Benny K. John, CSC, Principal of Holy Cross College. Dr. Shaon Ray Chaudhuri, Professor, attended the inaugural session as the Chief Guest.

A major attraction of the conclave was the interaction with officials from the Reserve Bank of India, Agartala, which provided students with an opportunity to understand the functioning and responsibilities of the country's central bank.

Mr. Surendra Nidar, General Manager and Officer-in-Charge, RBI Agartala, delivered a session titled “Demystifying Reserve Bank of India.” He explained the RBI's key responsibilities, including monetary policy, currency management, financial regulation and payment systems.

Another session, “A Career with the Central Bank,” was conducted by Ms. Kalpita Behera, who introduced students to the RBI's work culture, career opportunities and recruitment process. The sessions were designed to give students a clearer understanding of the central banking system as well as possible career pathways.

Mr. Birat Dutta Bhowmik, Branch Manager, IndusInd Bank, also addressed the students on the first day, sharing insights from the banking sector and professional experience.

The second day focused on entrepreneurship and creativity. Entrepreneur Mr. Soumyodeb Bhattacharjee interacted with students and shared his experiences and perspectives on entrepreneurship.

Students also participated in an advertisement-making competition, where they showcased their creativity, communication skills and understanding of advertising and branding. Ms. Deloris Darlong introduced the competition.

The entries were judged by Mr. Soumyodeb Bhattacharjee, along with Mr. Adong Jamatia and Mr. Mithun Debbarma, prominent personalities associated with the fashion and film industry. Mr. Jamatia and Mr. Debbarma also addressed the gathering, sharing insights from their respective professional journeys and experiences.

The conclave concluded with a vibrant Entrepreneurship and Cultural Food Fest, organised and led by the students. The event provided students with an opportunity to showcase entrepreneurial ideas, culinary skills and cultural creativity. Song and dance performances by different student groups added further colour and energy to the concluding programme.

The organisers said that Management Conclave 3.0 provided students with a platform to interact directly with professionals from diverse fields, connect management concepts learned in the classroom with real-world situations and present their own creative and entrepreneurial ideas.

The Department of Business Administration expressed its gratitude to the resource persons, college administration, faculty members, staff, organising team, partner organisations and students for their contribution to the successful completion of the two-day conclave.
