Tripura Govt to Launch ‘Seva First Innovation Challenge 2026’, Yuba Yogayog Yojana and Digi-SAPNE 3.0 on October 1

The Directorate of Information Technology, Government of Tripura, is set to organise a special programme at Women’s College, Agartala, on October 1 to launch a series of initiatives aimed at promoting citizen-centric innovation, youth empowerment, digital connectivity and entrepreneurship in the state.

The programme is being organised under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, which is being observed from September 17 to October 17, 2026. The event will witness the launch of the “Seva First Innovation Challenge 2026” and the “Mukhyamantri Yuba Yogayog Yojana for AY 2025-26”, besides the inauguration of “Digi-SAPNE 3.0”, a startup acceleration programme of AIC-SMUTBI being implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.

Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha is scheduled to formally launch the three initiatives and deliver the inaugural address. The programme is expected to bring together senior members of the State Government, officials, representatives from academia and stakeholders from the startup and innovation ecosystem.

Among those scheduled to attend are Finance, Planning & Coordination and Information Technology Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Higher Education Minister Kishor Barman, Dr. Parshant Kumar Goyal, IAS, Secretary, IT & Finance, Shri Jeya Ragul Geshan B., IFS, Director, IT, and Dr. Gopalakrishna Prabhu, Vice Chancellor of Sikkim Manipal University, Sikkim.

A major component of the programme will be the inauguration of Digi-SAPNE 3.0, which is intended to further strengthen the support system for startups and emerging entrepreneurs in Tripura. The event will also include the ceremonial distribution of cheques to selected startups under Digi-SAPNE 2.0, highlighting the continuation of financial and institutional support for innovation-led enterprises in the state.

The Seva First Innovation Challenge 2026 is expected to provide a platform for innovation focused on public service delivery and citizen-centric solutions. The initiative comes against the backdrop of the State Government's emphasis on using technology and innovation to improve governance and address emerging public needs.

The Mukhyamantri Yuba Yogayog Yojana for the academic year 2025-26 is another youth-oriented initiative being launched at the programme, with the event placing particular emphasis on digital empowerment and opportunities for young people.

According to the programme schedule, the event will begin at 10:45 AM with the arrival and reception of dignitaries. The formal launch and inauguration of the key initiatives are scheduled between 11:39 AM and 11:44 AM, followed by the Chief Minister's inaugural address.
