Tripura Gramin Bank Urges Customers to Complete Essential Banking Transactions Before September 25 Ahead of Three-Day Strike

Tripura Gramin Bank has advised its customers to plan and complete essential branch-dependent banking transactions by September 25, ahead of a proposed three-day nationwide bank strike from September 28 to 30, 2026.

In a press release issued on Tuesday, the bank said customers should avoid postponing urgent financial requirements until the strike period and complete important branch-related work in advance to minimise possible inconvenience.

The bank said it is taking preparatory measures to maintain continuity of essential banking services and minimise disruption to customers during the proposed strike. Particular attention is being given to the availability of ATMs, cash replenishment, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, digital payment facilities and other alternate banking channels.

Tripura Gramin Bank has encouraged customers to make greater use of its digital and alternate delivery channels for routine banking requirements during the proposed strike period.

However, customers whose transactions necessarily require a physical visit to a bank branch have been advised to complete such work sufficiently in advance. The bank specifically urged customers to finish branch-dependent transactions by September.

The bank said it is making arrangements to maintain critical and essential banking operations to the extent possible. However, it cautioned that normal functioning at some branches could be affected between September 28 and 30 depending on the level of participation in the proposed strike.
