‘Seva Sankalp’ programme set rolling on prime minister’s 76th birth anniversary today, blood donation camp organized

As in the rest of the country , the ‘Seva Sankalp’ (service and commitment) campaign sponsored by the BJP ruled state governments across the country was set rolling across the country. On this occasion an official programme was held in the government run Prajna Bhawan and as part of this the former chief minister and incumbent BJP from West Tripura Biplab Deb himself donated blood in a voluntary blood donation camp. Besides leading figures of many social organisations and political leaders of BJP took part and donated blood.
Apart from this, the chief minister Dr Manik Saha, health secretary Kiran Gittye and other senior officials also attended the ‘Seva Sankalp’ campaign in the Prajna Bhawan. The chief minister moved around the Prajna Bhawan and spoke to the donors and encouraged them carryon their donation as part of social service. “Donation of blood is the greatest donation and everyone should be conscious of this ; we have a duty towards the society where we are born and where we grow up , no other donation is greater than blood donation as it saves lot of lives” said the chief minister.
The chief minister called upon all to raise the awareness of common people about the value of voluntary blood donation as well as the value of social service for harmonious development of society in alignment with the nature which sustains our lives. “We can show our real respect to the honourable prime minister Narendra Modi by taking active part in social service through voluntary blood donation and other activities” said Dr Saha.
