28 mobile phones stolen from Rajasthan, Delhi, Bihar etc recovered bym airport police station, returned to owners

In a series of successful operations the officers of airport police station and their subordinate staff recovered as many as 28 mobile phones stolen from various areas of Rajasthan, Delhi, Bihar etc and returned all of them to original owners in a function at the airport police station . An interactive session with the media in this regard was organized in the airport police station and it was addressed by the SDPO Subrata Barman in presence of the officer in charge of airport police station Shyamal Debnath.

Giving details of the case SDPO Subrata Barman said that over the past few months they had received information from counterparts in Bihar, Rajasthan and Delhi about the location stolen mobile phones from these places in Tripura. “With this feedback the personnel from airport police station launched a search operation with help from cyber cell of state police and other technological authorities ; all these mobiles were traced with technological guidance and they were recovered one by one ; we have returned the mobiles to the original owners who are present here” said Subrata Barman.

He said that while some of the owners were already here with their mobiles registered in their respective states, other came to Tripura after being informed of location by technical section of the police forces in their respective states . “Actually their mobiles had many important and sensitive informations and records stored in them ; that is why they came as far as Tripura to get back their mobiles ; now they are very happy as we are” said Subrata Barman. He also specially thanked the personnel of airport police station for the efficient way in which they had traced the mobiles and recovered them.
