DM office complex in pathetic condition because of water-logging, uncut jungles and accumulated rubbish

The DM (west) office complex , located in the old secretariat building complex, which is frequented by many people daily has now degenerated into a water-logged m jungle ridden and garbage laden area, This sprawling complex houses a number of important offices like crime branch of police, Wakf Board office, office of the chief electoral officer (CEO), SDM (Sadar) office and Lokayukta office.

Many people frequent these offices daily in connection with personal works but they face lot of difficulties because of water-logging problem caused by total breakdown of the drainage system in the entire complex. Besides , almost the entire complex has become toxic because of accumulated garbage which is not shifted by the AMC authority . A large number of abandoned vehicles in near totally broken condition lie there . Particularly galling is the front side of the Lokayukta office which is heavily water-logged and full of jungles that are never cut or cleared. There are some garden spots in the DM office complex but they have already been damaged and wasted due to total lack of care on the part of the departments entrusted with the task.

Sources said that people who have to visit this complex area always return nauseated with bad experience . They said that the backside of the DM office is in a particularly poor condition as it is full of uncleared rain-water and broken vehicles and other unusable items. They said that the authority in the office complex should take urgent steps to have the entire complex cleared of water-logging , garbage and jungles for the sake of health and well-being of themselves as well as people who visit the different offices within the complex.
