Education, Healthcare and Compassion Reach Remote Dhalai Village Through Tripura University Economics Alumni Initiative

Agartala, August 30: Carrying the spirit of education, healthcare and social responsibility beyond the university campus, the Department of Economics Alumni Association (DEAA), Tripura University, organised a humanitarian and community welfare programme at Kachuchhara in SK Para, Dhalai district, on Sunday. The initiative brought together educational support, healthcare services and welfare assistance, creating a meaningful bridge between the university community and people living in a remote and underserved area.
Held at the Joyrampara Anganwadi Centre, the programme focused particularly on children and local residents. Around 50 children received educational materials, with the objective of encouraging regular engagement with learning and supporting a positive educational environment. The distribution of learning materials was not merely an act of assistance but also conveyed an important message that access to educational resources can play a significant role in nurturing confidence, curiosity and aspirations among children.
The programme also extended its welfare component to the wider community. Clothes were distributed among nearly 100 local residents, providing practical support to families in the area. Refreshments were arranged for the participating children, adding a warm and welcoming dimension to the gathering. Healthcare formed another important pillar of the outreach programme. A health camp was organised in collaboration with the SK Para Ayushman Arogya Mandir, enabling local residents to receive basic health check-ups and necessary health-related advice.
