School of Science Marks Major Success as 22 Candidates Qualify as Agriculture Officers in TPSC Recruitment 2026

The School of Science, Institute for All Competitive Exams, Agartala, has recorded a major achievement in the 2026 Agriculture Officer recruitment examination, with 22 of its students qualifying for the TAFS Grade-I (Group-B Gazetted) posts. Significantly, 16 of the 22 successful candidates are women, accounting for nearly 73 per cent of the institute’s successful candidates in the recruitment.

The results of the Agriculture Officer, TAFS Grade-I (Group-B Gazetted) Examination were declared by the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) on the evening of August 21, 2026, through Notification No. F.11(12-7)-Rectt/TPSC/2025 (Vol-I), dated August 21, 2026. According to the press release issued by the School of Science, the result has brought considerable recognition to the institution and represents what it describes as an unprecedented achievement during its 38-year journey.

The 22 successful candidates from the School of Science comprise 16 women and six men. The successful women candidates are Debasree Bhowmik, Angkita Baidya, Trisha Dhar Choudhury, Tushnima Chaudhuri, Payel Debnath, Maria Millenniumi Ranglong, Ayesha Debbarma, Renuka Molsom, Arpita Debbarma, Rooja Kalai, Rabina Chakma, Laxmi Prava Das, Ankita Das, Khumpui Debbarma, Rody Darlong and Dipika Jamatia.

The six successful male candidates are Animesh Sarkar, Aitorma Debbarma, Kanta Tripura, Hitlar Reang, Mrinmoy Das and Kusum Ram Reang.

The strong representation of women has emerged as one of the most notable aspects of the result. According to the institution, the achievement reflects the growing participation and success of young women in highly competitive government recruitment examinations. The successful candidates also come from UR, ST and SC categories, which the institute said reflects its effort to provide competitiveexamination guidance to aspirants from diverse social and educational backgrounds.

The School of Science described the achievement as more than a numerical success, attributing the outcome to the determination, disciplined preparation and sustained efforts of the candidates, combined with academic guidance provided by the institution.

Notably, the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) concluded the written examination and interview phases for 136 Agriculture Officer (TAFS Grade-I) vacancies from the 2025/2026 recruitment cycle, with the final recommendation lists and results released in 21 August 2026.
