27 New TCS Officers Complete Induction Training as CM Manik Saha Calls for People-Centric Administration to Build Developed Tripura by 2047

Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Friday said that administrative officers have a crucial role to play in achieving the vision of “Developed Tripura, Developed India by 2047”, stressing that officers of the Tripura Civil Service (TCS) have been making an important contribution to the state’s development and public administration.

The Chief Minister was speaking at the valedictory ceremony of the TCS 2026 batch induction training programme, organised at Pragya Bhavan in Agartala. Dr. Saha attended the programme and handed over certificates to the newly appointed officers after completion of their induction training.

A total of 27 newly appointed TCS officers completed the training programme, which was conducted from March 10 to August 21, 2026. The programme was designed to familiarise the young officers with various aspects of administration, governance, public service delivery and the responsibilities associated with their roles in the state administration.

Congratulating the newly appointed officers, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said their entry into the administrative service marked the beginning of a new journey of responsibility and public service.

“My sincere greetings and congratulations to the 27 newly appointed officers who are entering a new journey in administration,” the Chief Minister said, expressing hope that the officers would make their mark wherever they were entrusted with administrative responsibilities.

He urged the officers to utilise their educational knowledge and previous work experience while discharging their responsibilities and to maintain a strong commitment towards the people.

The Chief Minister emphasised that government officials are instrumental in translating development policies and programmes into tangible benefits for citizens. He said the administrative machinery has a significant responsibility in taking Tripura forward and contributing to the broader national objective of building a developed India by 2047.

The induction training was organised by the State Institute of Public Administration & Rural Development (SIPARD), Agartala, in collaboration with the General Administration (P&T) Department of the Government of Tripura.

During the training period, the newly recruited officers were provided exposure to different aspects of government functioning and public administration. The valedictory session focused particularly on the importance of dedication, administrative efficiency, integrity and a people-oriented approach in the discharge of official responsibilities.

The programme was attended by Tripura Chief Secretary JK Sinha, SIPARD Director Apurba Roy, along with senior government officials and other dignitaries.

The completion of the induction programme marks an important transition for the 27 officers, who will now take up their respective responsibilities in different areas of the state administration. Their performance at the field and departmental levels is expected to play a significant role in strengthening public service delivery and implementing government development initiatives.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the young officers would uphold the responsibilities entrusted to them and contribute meaningfully to Tripura’s development journey, while keeping the interests of citizens at the centre of their administrative work.
