Tipra Motha Founder Pradyot Kishore and other leaders, including Minister Brishaketu Debbarma, MLA Ranjit Debbarma and MDC Purna Chandra Jamatia, reportedly met former North East Advisor AK Mishra in Delhi on Sunday. The meeting is being viewed as significant amid ongoing consultations between the Tipra Motha and BJP leadership over political coordination and the future roadmap of their alliance in Tripura.

According to sources, discussions centred on several political and organisational issues, including the possibility of closer coordination between the two parties in the upcoming TTAADC Village Council elections. The political activity gained further momentum with Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha and Tipra Motha founder Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma arriving in Delhi.

Sources further indicate that a crucial meeting involving the Union Home Minister, Chief Minister Manik Saha and senior Tipra Motha leadership may take place in Delhi on Monday, where the issues surrounding the alliance could be discussed in greater detail and a final decision may be taken.

The Delhi developments have intensified speculation in Tripura over the future course of the Tipra Motha-BJP partnership. Tipra Motha had emerged as a major political force in the state, particularly among the indigenous population, before becoming a partner in the BJP-led government.

The proposed coordination for the TTAADC Village Council elections is particularly significant, as the ADC remains an important political arena for both parties. A joint electoral strategy could substantially alter the political equation in the tribal areas of the state.
