CM calls upon people to celebrate ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ (Tri-colour in every household) programme from August 11

The chief minister Dr Manik Saha has called upon the people of the state to celebrate the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ (Tri-colour in every household) programme by organizing various social and patriotic programmes as also by hoisting national flags or tri-colour. In a message he said that the entire programme of celebration should be dedicated to the cause of the nation to inculcate the spirit of patriotism in the minds and hearts of the young generation of the country.

An interaction with the media was held on the occasion by the senior secretary Kiran Gittye and director of information and cultural affairs Bimbisar Bhattacharjee in the conference room of the state secretariat. Explaining the importance of the occasion Kiran Gittye said that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ had been initiated by the prime minister Narendra Modi in the year 2022 on the occasion of ‘Azadi Ke Amrit Mahotsav’ and this programme has been continuing annually since then. “The fifth edition of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ programme will be celebrated from 9th August to 17th August and the entire celebration and activities will be dedicated to the commemoration of 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram’ “ said Kiran Gittye.

The main components of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ programme will be ‘Tiranga’ rallies, exhibition and concert, motor bike and bicycle rallies across districts, blocks and panchayats, Tri-colour lighting , decoration and rangoli , Tiranga salute to the spirit of ‘Vande Mataram’ and selfi with Tiranga. All government offices and households will have the tri-colour hoisted as part of the celebration during the periodicity of the programme. The officials said that the government is preparing to distribute tri-colours made by SHGs among the common people and people have been requested to buy national flags to be put on sale by the SHGs. The state level ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ rally will be organized at 4-30 PM on August 11, Kiran Gittye said.

The programme will be held in all district, subdivisional and block headquarters on the appointed day. Kiran Gittye and Bimbisar Bhattacharjee said that special efforts will be made to involve students and youths in the entire programme of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ and all efforts are being made by he state government to ensure grand success of the national programme of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’.
