Panic in Dwarikapur, Kalyanpur over dead body floating in pond

A panic among people has been reported from Dwarikapur area under Kalyanpur police station in Khowai subdivision over a floating dead body. Police sources from Kalyanpur said that early this morning a number of early risers who had gone out on morning walk came across a human body floating in a public pond at Dwarikapur area which also has a tea garden nearby. The local people reported the matter to Kalyanpur police station and a police team arrived on the spot and recovered the body which was identified as that of Sanjit Tanti (50) of that area . The body was sent to Teliamura hospital and was declared as ‘brought dead’ by the doctor on duty. After the post mortem the body was handed over to the sons of Sanjit Tanti . Sources said that deceased Sanjit Tanti was given to heavy daily drinking and might have somehow fallen into the pond and died .

An air of grief and mourning has gripped the Dwarikapur area as , in spite of his addiction to alocohol. Sanjit Tanti was known as a good man . He is survived by his wife , two sons and a married daughter. The MLA of Kalyanpur Pinaki Daschowdhury visited the family and promised all kinds of help at need.
