Udaipur HDFC Bank Fraud: ₹82 Lakh Scandal, Amount May Increase

Udaipur's HDFC Bank has been hit by a major fraud case amounting to ₹82 lakh, with the possibility of the figure increasing. According to district SP, four complaints have been filed in connection with the case.

Three customers—Niyati Sarkar, Lopa Mudra, and Anjan Dutta—have reported that their money has gone missing and have lodged complaints. Additionally, the bank manager has also filed a complaint with the police.

There are suspicions that a police officer may be involved along with bank staff in the fraud. Speaking to the media, the SP confirmed that the SDPO is investigating the matter, and an Additional SP has been assigned to monitor the case. CCTV footage of the Bank branch has also been examined. SP said, culprits are identified soon and legal actions to be taken as per financial fraud laws.
