50 mini mobile veterinary unit to be deployed at block level rolled out by minister for animal resource development

In a major initiative to boost up the animal resource development in the state the minister for animal resource development Sudhangshu Das today rolled out fifty mini mobile veterinary units meant for medical service to animals in as many blocks . This wad done in a programme at the Prjna Bhawan today by green-flagging the newly purchased vehicles . The programme was attended by the west Tripura zilla Sabhadhipati Bishwajit Shil and around 300 officers and employees of the animal resource development.

Addressing the gathering the minister Sudhangshu Das said that the state government is committed to boosting the veterinary farmers in the state by making available medical service for domestic animals at their door-step. “We are confident that this initiative will help improve health of the domestic and income generating animals , reduce mortality rates and increase productivity of animal rearing and boost up the income of the farmers and people engaged in animal rearing as a matter of profession” said the minister after handing over the keys of the 50 vehicles to the drivers.

He said that already the state government has introduced 13 mobile veterinary units for medical service to domestic animals and they have been serving the people well. The latest initiative of rolling out fifty more mobile veterinary units will further help the people engaged in animal resource development in all 58 blocks of the state . Äll these vehicles attached to the toll free number of 1962 will provide emergency service to animals like vaccination, worm killing , insemination and examination of diseases at the door-step of animal farmers in their households.
