CM Manik Saha Launches Multiple Agartala Municipal Projects, Reaffirms Vision for a Clean, Smart and Citizen-Friendly Capital

Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Thursday inaugurated a series of development projects undertaken by the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC), reiterating the state government's commitment to transforming Agartala into one of the most promising urban centres in Northeast India.

Addressing a gathering at Swami Vivekananda Maidan after inaugurating the projects, the Chief Minister said the state government has been implementing a series of development initiatives aimed at making Agartala a clean, green, healthy, technology-driven and citizen-friendly city.

He said the government's primary objective is to ensure modern, accessible and quality civic services by leveraging technology while maintaining transparency and accountability in governance. According to the Chief Minister, improving the quality of life of citizens remains the central focus of the government's development agenda.

"Our goal is to provide efficient public services through the use of technology, transparency and accountability. We want development to directly benefit the people, and we believe that our work will speak for itself," he said.

Dr. Saha expressed confidence that the newly inaugurated municipal projects would play a significant role in the overall development of Agartala, strengthening urban infrastructure and enhancing civic amenities for residents.

Highlighting the pace of urban development, the Chief Minister said the transformation taking place across Agartala is clearly visible. He asserted that roads, civic infrastructure, beautification works and public service improvements reflect the government's sustained efforts to modernise the capital city.

Taking a swipe at the opposition, Dr. Saha remarked that while the developmental changes in Agartala are evident to the public, opposition parties continue to ignore these achievements and instead choose to criticise the government.

He maintained that the government's focus remains on delivering tangible results rather than engaging in political rhetoric, adding that the administration is committed to reaching people through continuous development and improved public services.

The inauguration of the AMC projects forms part of the Tripura government's broader strategy to strengthen urban governance, promote sustainable city development and improve the standard of living for citizens through technology-enabled and people-centric initiatives.
