MLA Ramprasad Pal Launches Organisational Clean-Up Drive, 11 Party Workers Removed Over Alleged Corruption and Anti-Social Activities

In a significant organisational initiative aimed at strengthening internal discipline and promoting transparency, Surjyamani Nagar MLA Ramprasad Pal on Sunday announced the beginning of what he described as a "new chapter" in the functioning of the party organisation within the 18 Surjyamani Nagar Assembly Constituency.
Addressing an emergency organisational meeting of the 18 Surjyamani Nagar Mandal, Pal said the party has formally initiated a process to identify and act against individuals allegedly involved in corruption, illegal activities and anti-social conduct. He asserted that the campaign is intended to reinforce organisational discipline, safeguard the party's ideological values and restore public confidence in its functioning.
As the first major step under the initiative, 11 individuals belonging to the 18 Surjyamani Nagar Mandal have been relieved of their responsibilities as party workers and removed from all organisational assignments and activities within the Assembly constituency. According to Pal, the decision was taken after allegations surfaced that the individuals had associated with allegedly corrupt external elements and engaged in activities that tarnished the organisation's image, discipline and principles.
He maintained that the action was necessary to preserve the organisation's integrity, transparency and credibility, adding that there would be "no compromise" when it comes to protecting the party's ideals, discipline and dignity. The MLA said the move was intended to send a strong message that individuals accused of damaging the organisation's reputation or engaging in unethical activities would not be tolerated within the party structure.
Ramprasad Pal further described the initiative as more than a local organisational exercise, saying it should serve as a model for the rest of Tripura. He called upon party units across the state to undertake similar measures to strengthen organisational discipline, eliminate corruption and ensure that only dedicated and honest workers remain part of the organisation.
The MLA also indicated that alongside disciplinary action against those facing allegations, the organisation would recognise and encourage dedicated party workers who have maintained integrity and contributed positively to organisational activities. According to him, rewarding committed workers while taking firm action against misconduct would help create a stronger and more transparent organisational culture.
Calling organisational discipline the foundation of a strong political movement, Pal concluded by saying that the campaign launched in Surjyamani Nagar marks the beginning of a broader effort to build a cleaner, more disciplined and value-based organisation across Tripura.
The announcement, however, represents the organisational position of the MLA and the local party unit. No independent official details regarding the specific allegations against the 11 individuals or any response from those removed were immediately available.
