Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Tuesday said the BJP government in the state is pursuing development and welfare programmes in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision, as he inaugurated 11 projects worth Rs 105.73 crore in Gomati district.

Addressing a function at Udaipur, the chief minister said infrastructure development and healthcare remained among the government's priorities.

He said the state has launched screening of people above 30 years of age for non-communicable diseases under its public health programme and is expanding diagnostic facilities and hospital infrastructure.

Saha said the government plans to develop more urban hospitals on the lines of the newly inaugurated civil hospital at Udaipur, which has started with 50 beds and round-the-clock outpatient services.

The chief minister said projects worth around Rs 1,500 crore were inaugurated or had foundation stones laid in the previous financial year, while projects worth over Rs 121 crore have been launched so far in the current fiscal.

He said the state has earmarked Rs 10,000 crore for capital expenditure on infrastructure.

Referring to the recently concluded Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026, Saha said the state received investment proposals worth around Rs 1.21 lakh crore through memoranda of understanding, surpassing the initial target of Rs 1 lakh crore.

He also said Tripura's Gross State Domestic Product has increased and the state has received more than 350 national awards across various sectors.
