Tripura University’s New Vice-Chancellor Meets Governor, Chancellor Calls for Research Excellence, Faster Recruitment and Campus Development

The newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of Tripura University, Professor Dr. Debabrata Das, on Monday paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Rector of the University and the Governor of Tripura, Indra Sena Reddy Nallu.

During the meeting, the Governor congratulated the new Vice-Chancellor on assuming office and shared his vision for strengthening the University's academic and administrative standards. The discussions focused on enhancing the institution's overall performance and positioning it as a centre of excellence in higher education.

Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu emphasized that the University should accord top priority to high-quality research, encouraging innovation and academic excellence across disciplines. He also stressed the need for expediting the recruitment process to fill vacant teaching and non-teaching positions, ensuring that academic and administrative activities are not hampered by staff shortages.

The Governor further underlined the importance of improving administrative efficiency and fostering a disciplined work culture within the University. He said a transparent, accountable and efficient administrative system would significantly contribute to the institution's growth and reputation.
