The Gomati District Bar Association has submitted a written representation to the Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court MS Ramachandra alleging irregularities against District & Sessions Judge Ravi Dahiya and seeking appropriate intervention. The lawyers have urged the High Court to examine their complaints and have reportedly warned that they may launch an agitation if no action is taken.

According to members of the Bar Association, the representation contains allegations relating to the functioning of the district judiciary. However, the specific allegations have not been independently verified, and no official response from Justice Ravi Dahiya or the Tripura High Court was immediately available at the time of filing this report.

Justice Ravi Dahiya is a Grade-I officer of the Tripura Judicial Service (District Judge Cadre) with an extensive judicial and administrative career. He has previously served as Deputy Registrar of the Principal Bench of the National Green Tribunal on deputation and has held several key judicial positions, including Additional District & Sessions Judge, Additional Sessions Judge, Presiding Officer of the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Workmen's Compensation Tribunal, and Special Judge under various central and state laws, including the POCSO Act, NDPS Act, Prevention of Corruption Act, CBI cases, National Investigation Agency Act, SC/ST Act, and Prevention of Money Laundering Act. He has also served as Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority, Secretary of the High Court Legal Services Committee, and in several advisory and administrative roles on deputation.

Beyond the complaint against Justice Dahiya, some members of the legal fraternity have also expressed broader concerns regarding the functioning of certain subordinate courts in Tripura. They have alleged delays in the delivery of judgments, prolonged pendency of cases, and procedural complexities that they claim have caused financial hardship and inconvenience to litigants.
