Tripura CM Urges University to Aim for National Excellence, Assures Full Support to New Vice-Chancellor

Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Sunday held a meeting with the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of Tripura University, Prof. (Dr.) Debabrata Das, and emphasized the need to transform the institution into one of the country's leading universities through sustained academic excellence, research, and institutional reforms.
During the meeting, Prof. Das presented a comprehensive roadmap outlining his vision for the university's development over the next five years. The proposed plan focused on improving academic standards, strengthening research and innovation, upgrading infrastructure, enhancing student facilities, promoting faculty development, and raising the university's national and international profile.
Expressing satisfaction over the appointment of Prof. Das as the Vice-Chancellor, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha conveyed his confidence that the new leadership would guide Tripura University towards greater academic achievements. He urged the Vice-Chancellor to take all necessary initiatives to ensure the university's steady progress and establish it as a nationally recognized institution known for quality education and excellence.
Highlighting the crucial role of higher education in the state's overall development, the Chief Minister remarked that the intellectual standing of any state is determined by the quality of its education system and the performance of its universities.
