Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026 Attracts Rs.568.50 Crore Investment Proposals in Education Sector, 15 MoUs Signed

The Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026 has emerged as a major catalyst for educational transformation in the state, with the Government of Tripura securing 15 investment proposals worth Rs.568.50 crore in the education sector. The overwhelming response from leading educational institutions, foundations and private organizations reflects growing confidence in Tripura's vision of becoming a leading education and skill development hub in Northeast India.

The proposed investments aim to significantly strengthen the state's educational ecosystem through the establishment of modern schools, residential campuses, technology-driven learning centres, innovation laboratories, and skill development institutions. These projects are expected to enhance access to quality education, generate employment, and equip students with industry-relevant skills.

Among the largest investment commitments is a Rs.200 crore proposal by the Research and Gyan for Noble Upliftment Trust (RGNUT) to establish an Open Schooling System (IBSSE), creating new opportunities for flexible and inclusive education.

The Techno India Group has proposed an investment of Rs.100 crore to establish a network of CBSE-affiliated English-medium K-12 schools across various districts of Tripura between 2026 and 2032. The project also includes the establishment of a residential sports school.

Two separate proposals of Rs.50 crore each have been received from Lexicorp Allies LLP and Badri Rai & Company Group for setting up world-class CBSE schools. Another Rs.50 crore investment has been proposed by the Sarvsahara Educational Foundation to strengthen elementary education and youth skill development.

Other notable proposals include Itibachak Bartak Foundation for a Gurukul-cum-Skill Hub (Rs.25 crore), The New Green Field Educational Society for a school (Rs.20 crore), SCSM Foundation for a residential school (Rs.18 crore), School of Science for a K-12 residential school in Agartala (Rs.10 crore), Grasshopper Education & Technologies Pvt. Ltd. for technology-based teaching solutions (Rs.10 crore), and Janta Cinemae – Yen Movies Studio Pvt. Ltd. for smart classroom edutainment initiatives (Rs.20 crore).

Additional investments focus on digital learning, EdTech platforms, Nano Mech innovation laboratories, career guidance systems, teacher support, and technology-enabled classroom solutions, highlighting a comprehensive approach to educational modernization.
