They also appealed to the people to come forward and generously help build up a big fund for Mnasri’s treatment which is very costly.

Meanwhile, a specialist pediatric doctor S. Datta said that the entire treatment process of SMA which is a very rare condition is extremely costly . “Initially four injections will be given and this will entail a huge expense but then periodically the expensive injections will have to be given to prevent infection of lung and debilitating effect on heart ; hence continuous mobilization of fund will be required” he said . He added that to save the infant Manasri’s life government intervention will be required as soon as possible.
