The VB-G-RAMG Act, 2025 has replaced the earlier rural employment framework in Tripura. Under the new law, the Government has increased the notified daily wage to Rs. 300 and expanded the legal entitlement to 125 days of employment annually. However, the latest notification also makes it clear that employment under the scheme will be paused during the officially declared peak farming season so that agricultural activities are not affected by labour shortages.
