The planned persecution of Hindus across Bangladesh by the avaricious ‘Momins’ continues unabated . According to authentic report from the hell-hole country , an entire Hindu family including women and children were beaten up and injured en masse by a ‘Momin’ neighbour trying to grab the family’s land on June 28. No action has yet been taken by police in the matter , despite filing of a formal complaint in this regard. The incident happened in Dattermath area under Mithakhali union in Mongla sub-district under Bagerhat district.
Sources from Bangladesh said that Sandip Mandal (65), a resident of the Dattermath area down generations, had been living with his family in fear over the past few years because of illegal claims over his plot of land by his ‘Momin’ neighbour Lutfur Fakir (55). The illegal claims over Sandip Mandal’s land had prompted intervention from leading and influential people of the area and the measurement of the land was on . But when it appeared that Lutfur Fakir’s claim would fall flat on records and documents, he , along with his family members and a number of local Muslim goons, attacked Sandip Mandal and his family members with clubs, rods and other lethal indigenous weapons.
As a result , the members of Sandip Mandal’s family identified as Gopal Mandal (42), Manojit Mandal (43), Shipu Mandal (24), Rimpa Mandal (22) , Nipu Mandal (34), Kalpana Mandal (55) as well as Sandip Mandal himself sustained serious injuries. The local guardians who had come to attend the arbitration meeting had a tough time saving the lives of Sandip Mandal and his family members and all of them had to be sent to Bagerhat district hospital for treatment. On the next day-that is , June 29-Sandip Mandal filed a complaint with the Mongla sub-district police station against Litfur Fakir (55), Rajab Ali (60) and Fahad Ali (28). But none of the accused has so far been arrested.
