MDC Dhananjay seeks CEM Runiel’s approval for installation of three statues of Bir Bikram in Gandacherra subdivision

The ‘Tipra Motha’ member of ADC from Gandacherra Dhananjay Tripura has filed a representation to the chief executive member (CEM) Runiel Debbarma seeking his approval of his proposal for installing three statues of Tripura’s last king Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya in as many locations. In his letter signed by several other party leaders and supporters of ‘Tipra Motha’ party Dhananjay Tripura proposed that permission for installing the statues be given for three locations- Raisyabari market, Narikel Kunj tourist lodge entry point and Raima Saima town hall entry point at Gandacherra.
Dshirendra Tripura has referred to the seminal contribution made by Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya to the modernization of Tripura as also to the development of the state. “ Such a visionary king and leader of the people deserves to be honoured by all sections of people as this will promote historical awareness, cultural pride and inspire younger generations of people while preserving the tradition of the state and legacy of the late Maharaja “ said Dhirendra Tripura in his representation . He has urged upon the ADC authority and the CEM Runiel Debbarma to approve his proposal at the earliest and make arrangements for the installation of the three statues of Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya.
