CM Dr. Manik Saha Lays Foundation Stone for 100-Bed District Hospital in Sepahijala, Inaugurates and Launches Projects Worth Rs.65.40 Crore

Reaffirming the Tripura government's commitment to inclusive development and strengthening public infrastructure, Chief Minister Professor (Dr) Manik Saha on Thursday laid the foundation stone for a 100-bed District Hospital in Sepahijala district. The Chief Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 20 development projects worth Rs.65.40 crore, covering the Revenue, Health, and Education departments.

Addressing a gathering at the programme, the Chief Minister said the state government is committed to ensuring balanced development across both urban and rural areas, including the remote hill regions. He emphasized that the government's primary objective is to improve the socio-economic conditions of the people and bring prosperity and happiness to every household through sustained development initiatives.

Highlighting the significance of the day's programme, Dr. Saha said the projects launched in Sepahijala represent a major milestone in the district's development journey. He noted that the initiatives, particularly in healthcare, education, and revenue administration, would significantly enhance public services and improve the quality of life for residents in the coming years.

The Chief Minister further expressed satisfaction over the district's progress, stating that Sepahijala has successfully moved beyond the social and political negativity of the past and is now advancing steadily on the path of development. He congratulated the people of the district as well as the district administration for their collective efforts in driving this positive transformation.

The proposed 100-bed District Hospital is expected to substantially strengthen healthcare infrastructure in Sepahijala by expanding access to quality medical services and reducing the burden on existing healthcare facilities.

The inauguration and foundation-laying ceremony reflects the state government's continued focus on infrastructure development, improved public service delivery, and inclusive growth aimed at ensuring long-term socio-economic progress across Tripura.
