Two Brothers Die in Tragic Family's Land Dispute at Kailashahar

A shocking incident arising out of a long-standing family dispute claimed the lives of two brothers in Kailashahar under Unakoti district, triggering widespread tension and concern in the locality.The tragic incident took place on Friday evening in Ward No. 4 of Fultali area under Chittapur Assembly Constituency. The deceased have been identified as Nilabdha Sinha and Mayur Chand Sinha, both residents of the area.According to local sources, the two brothers had been embroiled in a family dispute for a considerable period. The disagreement reportedly escalated on Friday evening, leading to a violent confrontation between them.Eyewitness accounts and preliminary information suggest that during the altercation, younger brother Mayur Chand Sinha allegedly attacked his elder brother Nilabdha Sinha with a sharp weapon, inflicting a severe stab injury to his abdomen. The attack was so grievous that Nilabdha collapsed on the spot in a pool of blood and succumbed to his injuries.

However, the tragedy did not end there. Soon after witnessing his elder brother's condition, or possibly due to circumstances yet to be fully understood, Mayur Chand Sinha also collapsed beside his brother and died under mysterious circumstances. The exact cause of his death remains unclear and is currently under investigation.

The double death has sent shockwaves through the Fultali area, with residents expressing grief and disbelief over the incident. As news of the tragedy spread, a large police contingent rushed to the spot to control the situation and prevent any further disturbance.
