Tripura Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha on Wednesday asserted that major political and economic ideologies such as communism, socialism and capitalism have failed to ensure the comprehensive welfare of humanity, while the philosophy of "Integral Humanism" championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emerged as a successful and sustainable model for national development.
Addressing a gathering during the inauguration of the newly constructed building of the Sri Sri Dakshineswari Kali Temple at Bishalgarh, the Chief Minister said that the development trajectory being followed by India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has demonstrated that Integral Humanism is capable of balancing economic growth, social welfare and human values. According to him, this approach has not only strengthened India's economy and social structure but has also attracted international attention, with researchers in several countries studying its impact and relevance in the contemporary world.
Dr. Saha stated that the Modi government's philosophy of development has proven that inclusive growth and human-centric governance can go hand in hand. He remarked that the principles of Integral Humanism, which emphasize the holistic development of individuals and society, are today guiding India toward becoming a stronger and more prosperous nation.
The Chief Minister further said that the Tripura Government is functioning in accordance with the vision and developmental philosophy advocated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Referring to the slogan "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas," he said the state has succeeded in establishing good governance by ensuring that development reaches all sections of society without discrimination.
Calling for greater unity among people irrespective of political beliefs, social backgrounds or ideologies, Dr. Saha urged citizens to work collectively for the state's advancement. He emphasized that Tripura's progress can be accelerated only through cooperation, mutual understanding and a shared commitment to development.
"If everyone joins hands and works together, no force can stop Tripura's progress," the Chief Minister said, adding that the state has immense potential and that collective efforts will help transform Tripura into a more prosperous and developed state in the coming years.
During his visit to Bishalgarh, Dr. Saha also unveiled a marble statue of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya at the Bishalgarh Bypass Tri-Junction. The unveiling ceremony was attended by local MLA Sushanta Deb and several public representatives, social leaders and residents.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Sushanta Deb described Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya as a visionary thinker and the principal exponent of the philosophy of Integral Humanism. He said the installation of the statue serves as a tribute to Upadhyaya's enduring contribution to nation-building, social harmony and inclusive development.
Deb in his Facebook page noted that the inauguration of the statue in the presence of the Chief Minister was a significant moment for the people of the region, as it would help preserve and promote the ideals and teachings of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya among future generations. He expressed confidence that Upadhyaya's philosophy would continue to inspire society and guide the country toward greater progress and national unity.
The twin events at Bishalgarh combined spiritual, cultural and ideological significance, with the Chief Minister highlighting both the importance of preserving religious heritage and the role of value-based governance in achieving sustainable development. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents, devotees and supporters, reflecting the growing public engagement with developmental and cultural initiatives across Tripura.
