Tripura Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Abhishek Debroy on Monday undertook his first organisational visit to South Tripura district after assuming charge, emphasising grassroots coordination and organisational expansion.
The day-long programme commenced with a visit to the historic Jogamaya Kali Bari in Belonia, where Debroy offered prayers and sought blessings. He later visited the district BJP office and participated in a tree plantation drive alongside party leaders and workers.
A major highlight of the visit was a district-level organisational meeting held at Sachin Debbarman Auditorium. The gathering witnessed the participation of booth-level leaders, mandal office-bearers, morcha representatives and district functionaries from different parts of South Tripura.
Addressing party workers, Debroy stressed the importance of strengthening the organisation at every level and ensuring effective communication between the leadership and grassroots workers. He said direct interaction with party workers across all districts would remain one of his key priorities as state president.
Speaking to media persons, Debroy said the BJP leadership intends to review organisational activities across districts and discuss strategies for enhancing public outreach. He noted that regular interaction with workers would help identify local challenges and improve implementation of party programmes.
Following the conference, the state BJP president held separate meetings with mandal representatives and organisational functionaries to review local issues and gather feedback on party activities. Discussions also focused on future organisational plans, membership drives and coordination among various wings of the party.
During the visit, Debroy also interacted with senior party leaders, elected representatives, office-bearers and members of the BJP’s social media team.
Among those present were state BJP vice-president Papia Dutta, South Tripura district BJP president Dipayan Chowdhury, South Tripura Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Dipak Datta, Belonia Municipal Council Chairman Nikhil Chandra Gope, party legislators and several senior leaders and workers.
The visit is being viewed as part of the BJP’s broader effort to further strengthen its organisational network across Tripura ahead of upcoming political and organisational activities.
