Women and children in Bangladesh in pathetic state after being abandoned by male guardian through infamous ‘Triple Talaq'

The scourge of instant ‘Triple Talaq’ system in vogue in early medieval Arabia through a gross misinterpretation of ‘Quranic’ injunction had been done away with in what is now known as Bangladesh way back in 1961 when the country was under Pakistani rule . At that time a separate law had been included in the statute book under the nomenclature of “Muslim Family Law Ordinance 1961’’ as part of which the system of ‘Triple Talaq’in a single sitting had been banned and a judicial process of arbitration in a council had been introduced to pre-empt arbitrary and instant divorce or ‘Talaq’. But the rogue practice by libidinous ‘Momins’ continue unabated in the country’s rural hinterland, leaving huge number of uneducated and vulnerable women and children in a pitiable state.

The harsh reality has now come to the fore in a survey conducted by the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) which states that at least 1.5 million women deserted by their husbands through the process of instant ‘Triple Talaq’ lead a sub-human life in different parts of the country without any means of a viable livelihood. This gory position of hapless women is matched only by the pitiable plight of as high as 34 lakh children , progenies of divorced parents, who spend days in starvation and semi-starvation in railway and bus stations, footpaths and on roads. These helpless children are subjected to all kinds of abuses by the elder and luckier ‘Momins’across the country.

Reporting this from across the border sources said that no social organisation, NGO or any governmental body is even cognizant of this terrible human tragedy. But the ‘Momins’ continue their daily efforts to entice and persuade girls and women belonging to the minority communities , specially Hindus to elope with them and convert to the ‘Momin’ faith by performing meaningless rituals and consuming beef. Not even a day passes when reports of at least one or two Hindu girls or women are not abducted , raped or molested by the perennially libidinous ‘Momins’ in one part of the Bangladeshi hell-hole or the other.

Meanwhile , sources from across the border said that the love of Bangladeshi ‘Momins’for their Pakistani co-religionists still burns bright and a considerable number of them sneak into that country to live in the (un)holy land of Pakistan , a country surviving for many years now on international doles and alms. According to an alarming report as many as ten Bangladeshi ‘Momins’ lost their kidneys by falling into the trap of organ-smuggling racket in Pakistan while scores of others are still in the queue to be duped by the Pakistani co-religionists who pay only a pittance to purchase kidney through murky racket of doctors who perform the risky surgery. Sources said that in terms of GDP and per capita income Bangladesh is still ahead of Pakistan but the pull of opium of a fake and hollow faith is so intense that they choose the anarchic Pakistan for sustenance by any means.
